What is EFT?

EFT is a leading-edge technique that offers relief from negative emotions. It is easy to learn and involves gentle finger-tip tapping on specific areas of the face and body while tuning into specific emotions.

It's like acupuncture for emotions - but without the needles!

Emotional difficulties that used to seem irreparable, or that could take months or years to resolve using older techniques, are now seen as simple "tappable issues."

There is nothing to lose and much to gain by trying and applying EFT on just about every conceivable challenge. If something bothering you, you can bet that someone's used EFT to treat it successfully.

Here's a very brief description of the EFT process:

First you identify an incident, memory, event, trauma, limiting belief, etc. that 'holds a charge' or carries intensity for you. Not sure where to start? We'll figure it out together.

I'll ask you to rate that intensity on a zero to ten scale (Subjective Units of Distress or SUDS scale), where zero is no charge at all and 10 is maximally charged.

I'll then walk you through a process of tapping on the various meridian points while asking you to repeat and focus on phrases related to your issue. (For example, "this grief," "this anxiety in my chest," "this spider fear" etc.)

I bring my intuitive skills to bear in creating setup and reminder phrases that help articulate different aspects of the issue, while checking to see if additional aspects of the problem have surfaced.

At the end of each round of tapping I'll ask you to check in with your SUDS level and we'll see if it's shifted. We repeat the process until your intensity is down to a zero.
